The month of May has been a good one so far for 2020 6'6 guard Colby Jones of the Alabama Fusion, as he has added four big offers so far and more could be coming his way.

Jones, a player from Mountain Brook, has had a solid AAU season so far for the Fusion, helping his team to a 6-2 record so far and averaging 14.2 points, 7.9 rebounds per game so far at the EYBL.

His successful play has now been translating into offers.

'It's been going pretty good,' Jones told Phenom Hoop Report. 'I've been playing pretty well and my team is tied for first in our division right now too. My main focus has been ball handling, working on my pull-up game and getting stronger.'

Jones has been in attack mode this offseason, posting solid stats so far as well as showing his versatility on both ends of the floor. And even being at 6'6, he has been one of the top rebounders at the EYBL, an area he prides himself in.

With his play so far, Jones has now picked up four new offers, now giving him 10 total offers and more could be coming.

'After the first live period, (my recruitment has) picked up a lot. But the coaches have really been saying how they love how I play to win and I really know how to play the game,' Jones said.

Jones has now added offers from Georgia, Xavier, Clemson, and Alabama in the last month, now joining UAB, Middle Tennessee, South Alabama, Samford, Harvard, and Yale. That doesn't mention programs like Iowa State and Auburn have also been recruiting him hard as well.

So, with the latest offers and interests, Jones has certainly taken notice of what each program has to offer.

Xavier– 'Great program with a great tradition and playing in a great conference. I think they're going to have a good season this year.'

Iowa St– 'Coach Kane has been hitting me up a lot and making sure to stay in contact with me and I love the style of play they have. '

UAB– 'They have really prioritized me and they were my first offer as well. They're one of the top teams in C-USA and they should have a good year with the players they bring back.'

Clemson– 'They're in arguably in the top conference in the country and (I love) how they get up and down.'

Georgia– 'Coach Crean brought in a great class this past year, so I think he'll be able to make some noise this year in his second season with Georgia.'

Alabama– 'In-state school with a new coaching staff and I feel like Coach Oats' style of play by creating in transition would fit me.'

Auburn– 'They had a great season last year and Coach Pearl is a great coach. They have great guards so I could see myself fitting in their style of play. '

Harvard– 'One of the top schools in the Ivy League. They have really been calling me and texting me every other day. Coach Amaker has made that program a consistent threat.'

Yale– 'Great season last season, close game to LSU in the NCAA Tournament and Coach Jones has been telling me that I can be an All-Ivy league type guy.'

Jones has already taken visits to Harvard and Yale, as well as taking unofficial visits to Alabama and UAB. He has plans on visiting Alabama and UAB once again, as well as Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, and Xavier this summer but no official dates have been set.

But when he does make these visits, Jones will be looking at a few certain factors for these schools.

'The atmosphere, the vibe I get from it, and imagining if I can see myself there,' Jones said.

With more offers possibly coming and visits coming up this summer, Jones has no timeframe on when he wants to make a decision on his future. It will just be when a school feels right.
