Michael Okauru and Ian Dubose have been two names Phenom Hoops has been well aware of and now could be hitting more of a national scale in their recruitment.

Ravenscroft recently participated in the Phenom Hoops National Showcase and were tremendous on Day 1, scoring a total of 47 points in the dominating win. Okauru still only holds an offer from Rutgers but with his play at the National Showcase, that could certainly change and it should.

Okauru showed that he can knock down the outside shot with his high rising release, even being a three point threat, while using his speed, length, and agility to attack the rim and finish with ease. It seems that it just comes natural to this young man and certainly seemed like the best player on the court against Myrtle Beach Christian.

As mentioned before, Rutgers is the only program to offer him as of right now, but the talented 2017 prospect also mentioned Wake Forest, East Carolina, Xavier, Richmond, and Clemson have all expressed interest in him. He even mentioned that Virginia was the one program that has been coming at him the strongest.

“Coach Bennett says he just wants to watch me a few more times and build a relationship and I should have an offer by then,” Okauru told Phenom Hoops.

Dubose is another type of talent that will be a force this season for Ravenscroft. He scored 21 points in the win on Friday afternoon in the National Showcase and is a versatile player that can play multiple positions. He holds offers from Yale, Houston Baptist, and Dartmouth right now, but programs around the area, including East Carolina and Virginia, have shown interest.

Dubose mentioned Virginia as well as a team that has had strong interest, saying that they like his ability to be a versatile player on the floor that can guard multiple positions.

No matter what though, Okauru and Dubose should be rising up the national radar and programs should start paying attention to this duo of talent because they will be names you will hear about down the road.

They will also be a huge part to Ravenscroft this season, as they look to continue their success they have had in the past.
