Rawle Alkins is a 6’4 guard that is ranked No. 3 by Phenom Hoops in the state of North Carolina and is a highly touted recruit among several top-tier programs.
Alkins recently transferred to Word of God this offseason and will headline another talented squad for the Raleigh program.
Alkins has made several visits and his recruitment has been heating up as of late, visiting places such as North Carolina, NC State and several others.
On Wednesday morning, Alkins released on twitter his top programs that he has narrowed down to. That list consists of Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, UNLV, and St. John’s.
NC State recently had Dennis Smith Jr. commit, giving them the top point guard in the 2016, while other programs such as North Carolina, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, and so on are looking to make their mark with one of the most talented guards in the country.
You will be able to see Alkins and his Word of God team mates several times this year. They will be playing in the Phenom High School Jamboree on November 7, the Phenom National Showcase on November 13 and 14, and then the Phenom Millbrook Showcase on December 5.
There is a reason why they called him “The King of New York.” Now, he will take his talents to North Carolina and give the state yet another nationally known name for the 2016 class.
