This was the 14th annual Spring NC Phenom 150 exposure camp, and as with the previous 14 years there are so many guys who come out and make their names at this camp. The 2017 version of this camp was no different. There were some unsigned seniors along with some freshman who really came out and performed at a high level.

It was impossible to only find 5 players who stood out, I am sure that if you asked any of the 8-10 scouts in attendance who their top players were, every list would be different. Here is the first go at it as each player has a unique trait which set them apart.

6'4 2018 Deante Petree
North Forsyth HS (Winston-Salem, NC)

Petree showed that he could do it all during camp. He was an athletic defender, solid rebounder and did a good job making shots. Petree came into camp a little unknown, however he left camp with everyone in attendance talking about him. Easily he was one of the top performers on the day. It will be interesting to watch him at next week's North Carolina Top 80, as he earned his invite through his performance at this camp. He averaged 16.3 points per game on the day.

6'5' 2019 Jace McKenney
South Brunswick HS (Southport, NC)

McKenney is a high flier. Wherever he was, he had a crowd surrounding his court. Rightfully so, McKenney put a dent on the rim. He played 100 miles per hour throughout the day. McKenny is a tough rebounder with great length and is very strong. He is natural wing, McKenney shot the ball well and was able to live in the paint. We will be interested to see how he transfers this performance into the North Carolina Top 80, next Sunday. He averaged 19.7 points per game on the day.

6'7' 2019 Luke Davis
South Central HS (Winterville, NC)

Davis played high school for a South Central team who went 37-2 during this last year. He showed during this camp he is a big time player in the waiting. Davis has good bounce and length around the rim, he is also a strong 2-handed rebounder who takes care of cleaning up the boards in his area. He can also step out and knock down shots, when his feet are set, out to 22 feet. Davis has great upside as a player, we will be excited to see how he performs against the state's best next Sunday at the North Carolina Top 80. He averaged 16.7 points per game on the day.

6'1' 2020 Jake Ledbetter
Ledford HS (Thomasville, NC)

Ledbetter was an unbelievable shot maker throughout the day. His confidence is well beyond his years and his range expands out into the parking lot. Some of the things he did shooting the basketball had every one watching, talking about him. Ledbetter has a very soft release with great shot prep, always square and ready to go up. He averaged 19 points per game on the day and it will be interesting to watch him play against North Carolina's best prospects at the North Carolina Top 80 next Sunday.

6'7' Unsigned Senior Amiri Waddell
Concord 1st Assembly (Concord, NC)

Waddell was the camp's leading scorer as he showed the ability to finish at all 3 levels. Offensively, Waddell gets it done at a high level. He has deep range to go along with his ability to get to the rim and finish. Waddell is a good rebounder and is able to push the break. He was an easy pick as one of the top performers on the day, he put on an offensive show.
