SAD SAM’S FINAL FURIOUS 5 FOR 2019

Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the awaiting-March-Madness piedmont. The Great One is here to post his last Furious 5 of the season. With the carnage from the week before having shuffled the 5 again, there were two teams left and they went head-to-head for the F5 title as well as moving on to the regional finals. West Charlotte downed upstart Ardrey Kell to secure the top spot and subsequently advanced to the state title game where they will have a tough assignment in South Central. It was a topsy turvy F5 season as The Sadster had foreseen but the dust has settled and win or lose Saturday, the Lions finish as the last team standing. Here’s the final 5 of the season:

1. WEST CHARLOTTE – PLAYING FOR THE STATE TITLE

2. MYERS PARK – DREAMS WERE DASHED AT RJ REYNOLDS AFTER LOSING A 15 POINT LEAD IN THE REGIONAL SEMIS.

3. ARDREY KELL – LOST TO PATRICK “THE QUESTION” WILLIAMS AND COMPANY IN THE REGIONAL SEMIS.

4. NORTH MECK – SEASON COMPLETE

5. INDEPENDENCE – SEE NORTH MECK

We didn’t sleep on: Olympic, Vance, Butler, Hopewell
