Phenom Hoop Report is well known in bringing quality camps and tournaments to the high school level and now we will be doing the same for the middle school age groups. The inaugural Queen City Middle School Showcase will feature some of the top travel ball programs in the seventh and eighth grade. The weekend of February 24-25 will kick off action at Olympic High School and surrounding gyms/schools in the area. Today, we want to take a look at the CB Hoops 13U team coached by Vernon Cloud.

5'3 '23 Travelle Bryson (Bradley Middle School, Charlotte, NC

We're going to start off the conversation with 5'3 Travelle Bryson. Bryson has attended the NC Junior Phenom camp so we are quite aware of his abilities. At the NC Junior Phenom camp, we wrote the following, 'He's an off-guard that is a plus on both ends of the floor and he's willing to make winning plays whenever possible. Travelle is a young player with tremendous potential; he plays and handles the ball with both hands very effectively. He has a nice midrange game and a potentially good three-point shot. Travelle plays defense well on both guard positions. He makes very good passes, penetrates strong to the basket and makes the right pass to the right player.' In addition, Travelle is very coachable and a natural team leader; he has awesome handles and playmaking ability.' Coach Cloud stated, 'Bryson is one of the top shooters that can light it up.'

6'1 '23 Jeremiah Shipman (Sugar Creek Charter, Charlotte, NC)

What's not to like about a 6'1 seventh grader who combines a blend of athleticism and skills. Coach Cloud stated, 'Jeremiah is a strong force in the middle with excellent footwork and a soft touch around the basket.'

6'0 '23 Nicholas Davis (Eastway MS, Charlotte, NC)

Coach Cloud stated, 'Nicholas is a physically gifted guard/forward that plays at a high level on both ends of the court.' It's not often you find a seventh grader that is so physically gifted and has such a unique skill set.

5'4 '23 Bryson Heath (Mint Hill MS, Matthews, NC)

Coach Cloud stated, 'Bryson is a crafty physically strong guard that doesn't shy away from pressure.' It's not often you find young players in the middle school that has his strength and maturity.
