Phenom Hoop Report made its way back to Greensboro, NC for another great event, the Stay Positive Live tournament. As always, tons of talent was in the gym, a regular occurrence when Phenom comes to town. Some of the talent that stood out is as follows:

Corwin Bryant, 6'1 G with Durham Hurricanes – The Hurricane's designated gunner from deep continues to knockdown shots here in July. We have seen Corwin a few times now and each time he has been on from beyond the arch. His ability to stretch out the D enables room for the rest of his guys to work and provides nice spacing out on the floor. While primarily a catch and shoot threat he has shown the ability to be a factor in other phases of the game. Looks to be a 3 and D kid at the next level but as long as his shot is falling, he will generate looks.

Michael Barbee, 6' G with CEBA – Michael came on strong as the game went on helping his team to erase a first half deficit in the process. He has a good mix of speed and power to his game and uses them to great effect when driving to the basket. On defense he is solid but in the press he is a flat out pain in the tail. Showed ability as a distributer but game looks best suited to a combo guard role. Took advantage of opportunities presented and played like an upperclassman should.

Julius Reese, 6' G with CP3 2022 – Playing up versus rising sophomores did little to slow this kids roll. His opponents simply could not keep him off the glass or from doing whatever he wanted to do. With kids this young its always risky to project where they will end up but this kid has all the tools needed to develop nicely the next 5 years. When watching him play it's hard to keep in mind that he still has one more year of middle school to go.

Jaden Bradley, 6'1 G with CP3 2022 – Some kids you can look at and just know they are a player without ever having to see them play. Jaden is one of those kids. His frame is made for hoops as his easy, long strides just eat up the floor. Shows the ability to hit at al 3 levels as well as the bounce to help out on the glass. Easy to see a high ceiling for this kid going forward.

Shane Fernald, 6'3 F with CP3 2022 – It is not often you see a young big that can pass the way Shane can. He has nice vision and an unselfish nature out on the floor. These traits help him to find guys for easy looks. He will force things at times but the vision and feel are there. He is solid enough on the glass but you can't help but want more from him on the glass. His brother is 6'6 we are told so the potential is here for him to add size as he moves forward. Here is hoping the body and talent continue to keep pace with the instincts going forward.
