Morning Standouts

Upward Stars Columbia

5'11' 2019 Isaiah Archie

Archie is an all out, quick on quick lead guard. He has great length and plays at a great pace. Today he showed a great finishing package as he touched the paint often. He is good in the mid-range and very slippery at the rim, finishing at all kinds of angles. He finished this game with 25 points, he knocked down 2 threes and overall made great decisions. A college level guy.

Other Standouts:
6'3' 2019 Jalen Johnson

Great size for his position. The sturdy shooting guard scored the ball well and handled it in tight spaces. Very productive scorer.

Twin County Kings

6'3' 2020 Keishaun Porter

It has been pretty consistent with how good Porter has been this entire April. The lengthy wing is a noted, multi-positional, defender. He handles the ball and distributes the ball well enough to initiate offense half the time and he has really added to his scoring package, knocking down the 3-ball at a more consistent rate. He finished this game with 26 points, it was a nice array of skill and athleticism. Porter is moving his way into contention as a must watch D1 prospect.

Team Nova (VA) 17s

6'3' 2019 George Howe

Howe is an interesting player, plays hard and he is a much better athlete than you initially think. We liked his quick twitch ability with the look of someone who can guard multiple positions along the perimeter. He made shots at all three levels with touch and with confidence. A player coaches should look at at the appropriate level.

Hoop State Elite – Rexrode (NC) 17s

6' 2020 Landon Sutton

This one has been the complete Landon Sutton show for the team. As steady as they come as a point guard, but Sutton's steady is 20+ points and 6-7 assists. He really knows the game and is a vocal leader who has the complete respect of every player on his team. He finished this game with 15 points and 8 assists. It was truly a great show for him and one that should propel him into scholarship offers status moving forward.

New Light Disciples (NC) 17s

6'5' 2019 Jayden Turner

The lefty has had quite the weekend, after scoring 43 in a game yesterday he came out scorching the nets again today. The lengthy and explosive wing finished in every way imaginable. What really impressed is his defensive presence, and his 'want to' in getting the possession back. So much of his offense is predicated on his defense, but he showed this entire weekend that he is able to create (and finish) in the half court set.
