He went for 42, so we can start with that. It was a full on display of craft in the paint with the ability to finish at the basket. This is a tournament record and he is someone who colleges should start to look at, and really pay attention to. He was poised and he played efficiently with a great pace. He had 42!
6’2″ 2019 Trae Hannibal (South Carolina)
Hartsville (SC)
Hannibal is the epitome of tough, he just exudes it throughout the game in all facets. He went for 36 in this one, he was 2-3 from 3-points, consistently knocked down the pull up jump shot and he got to the basket (through contact). Hannibal is an exceptional rebounder and has top of the line vision. South Carolina will enjoy this one, he followed up with his 31 yesterday with 36 today.
7′ 2021 John Butler Jr.
Christ Church (SC)
Butler’s upside is as high as any player in high school. Only 15 years old and standing at 7 feet, he is incredibly fluid, with ball skills. Butler showcased this by knocking down the game winning 3. He has great timing, with good length. As he continues to add weight, everything will continue to take off. He’s a top 15 prospect, nationally, and that should only rise.
5’11” unsigned senior Raishaun Brown
Asheville Christian (NC)
Brown has continued on a tear. He has the ball on a string, able to get where he wants on the floor. He has great body control at the basket and is a very crafty finisher at the rim. Brown continued to shoot the leather off the ball, going 3-4 from three and he finished with another 19 points.
6’4″ 2020 Isaiah Caldwell
Heathwood Hall (SC)
Caldwell is as steady as they come. He is a highly athletic, and explosive player, but also plays a very controlled, high IQ style. Coming into the event, the junior carried an Army offer. It looks like that offer should soon have some company, he checks a lot of the boxes.
