Lakewood High School
(Sumter, South Carolina)

Lakewood High School is coming off a great season last year that saw them go 8-0 in their conference play. This season they return the majority of their firepower from that team who made a nice playoff run. They should be looking to do the same thing this year, as three of their four losses have been by five points or less this season.

Guard Grant Singleton has deep range and carries multiple scholarship offers. The bigs, Juwan Perdue and Ahkeem Lawson, are both being heavily recruited by scholarship level schools. Their guards play the game with a toughness and aggression and their bigs rebound and finish around the basket.

6' unsigned senior Grant Singleton
Singleton is poised beyond his years. He has a solid handle and he shoots the ball with both range and confidence. Singleton carries scholarship offers from both St Thomas Aquinas (NY) and Coker College. He is a fun player to watch when he has a lot of eyes on him as he is able to go off for huge scoring numbers. College coaches are aware and watching.

6'7 junior Juwan Perdue
Perdue has great length and a good basketball IQ. Defensively, he does a great job in the passing lanes, using his 6'10+' wingspan and anticipation to cause a lot of deflections, steals, and blocks. Offensively, Perdue has a great feel and vision. He is an excellent passer and has the ability as a secondary ball handler. Perdue's recruitment is ranging from low major to mid-major schools, but make no mistake about it, he is a D1 prospect.

6'7 unsigned senior Ahkeem Lawson
Lawson is tough on the block. He goes about his business and does nothing but produce. Lawson has great hands and footwork on the block that match well with his length and nose for the basket. He is a very good rebounder, active and strong with 2-hands. Lawson is getting looked at across the Peach Belt and should be getting offers coming, size and production are key here.
