Young Kids Make A Mark on the Big Stage

What a great day of basketball. The games were competitive, the crowd was into it, coaches were in the stands, and the players showed out. Here were some of the standouts from the Phenom Summer Jam

2019 Class

6'8 DJ Burns (York Prep)
Burns had the D2 college coaches asking who he was, in hopes to start recruiting him for the 2016 year. They were surprised to find that Burns had yet to step onto a high school campus. The lefty has great touch and feel in the post. He is competitive, and talks the entire game (both direction and trash). Welcome to the big stage, it will be fun to watch this one grow.

6'3 Shawn Walker Jr (Northeastern)
Walker has a long sinewy frame, that carries great upside. He handled the ball in the half court, with a smooth confidence. As he continues to grow and get stronger, Walker is a player to watch.

6'1 Myles Pierre (Carmel Christian)
Pierre already has a name among the national analysts as he is listed on most rankings. Pierre has a strong, and very sturdy build. He made shots with range, while playing a very explosive style as he was most comfortable when he was getting downhill.

6' Lavonte Knox (Lincoln Charter)
What a quick and explosive game for the young lefty. He played well in the half court, getting to the rim and finishing. He also defends the ball well, with his quick hands and feed. Knox is one to monitor moving forward.
