The Phenom Opening Session opened with a great game on Court 3. Team Winston fought hard early, but Team CP3 pulled away; staying aggressive with dribble penetration, getting to the basket, in addition, finding the open man consistently when the defense collapsed. Shooters were ready to shoot, knocking down the open shot consistently. MVP Jacobi Wright was consistently a problem the whole game, scoring 24 points. He got to the basket, scored in between, and shot the 3 very well: hitting 6 of those. Chris Ford also played well adding 10 points, getting rebounds, steals, and making the right pass. Team Winston 16U, had big games from Jakob Moore with 14 points, and teammate Kuluel Mading added 9 points.
