Team Takeover Olidipo, Team CP3, and Team United White all finished 3-0 during the opening weekend of the MadeHoops Lea8ue (Red Division) Winter Circuit at Boo Williams. Team Takeover Olidipo was led by 6'5 230 pound Jason Moore who averaged over 18ppg showing a soft touch finishing around the rim and the ability to step outside the paint and knock down jumpers while also dominating on the glass. 5'7 guard Malik Mack was solid as well. A smooth shooting lefty with three point range who can also run the offense and distribute the basketball. Team CP3 was led by their exciting backcourt featuring Aden Holloway and Jaylen Curry. The 5'9 Holloway is a high IQ and talented floor general and a pass first guard, he has a very good handle and a great feel. He changes speeds nicely, has a crisp quick crossover dribble move and a nice array of breakdown dribble moves and can change directions on a dime then blow by his defender. A lefthander with a smooth, disciplined stroke Jaylen Curry can fill it up from the perimeter but also handles and distributes the basketball showing good vision and IQ.
Team United White got some game winning heroics from 5'11 guard Tremaine Parker when he buried a three pointer off a nice dribble move from the left wing to win a game. Parker was solid all weekend long as was 5'8 2023 Robert Dillingham. Dillingham is a solid ball handler and is as good a three point shooter as anyone I saw all weekend long! He scored at all levels and has a great touch and smooth shooting stroke.
In the Green Division, Team Durant Black, Team Takeover Grant and NY Renaissance Cox all finished with unblemished records during their three game weekend schedule. Team Durant Black features 6'7 Marcel Gardner who obviously attracts much attention by virtue of his size. He was mobile and active, agile. 6'2 Raymond Watts brings energy on both ends of the floor and has good skills and versatility. Guard Ace Valentine has very good length and can really shoot the ball. He has three point range which is complimented by his quick first step and rangy strides. He's a threat as a scorer and a passer on the move and is a quality playmaker.
Team Takeover Grant was led by the exciting threesome of Bryson Long, Marvin Brimage, Jr and Terrell Webster. The 6'3 Long can flat out shoot the ball but also uses his elite athleticism and a strong frame to get to the rim where he is a very good finisher. Brimage (6'2 155) is a three level scorer who really excels in the mid range and knocks down shots off the dribble with good consistency, fantastic scoring instincts. He has a strong frame and plenty of bounce. Terrell Webster is a long and bouncy 6'3 guard who can hit the jumper or use a dribble move and rangy strides to blow by his defender. He is a dynamic playmaker in space and can play above the rim. The NY Rens got consistent scoring from 5'7 guard Jayden Reid who averaged almost 19ppg during the weekend. Reid has tremendous end to end speed, can slither through traffic and get to the rim and has elite passing skills. Another double figure scorer for NY Rens was Christian Bliss who averaged 16ppg. Christian is a very good ball handler who can absorb contact and score. Able to create space for the jumper using step backs and is a threat to score from three point range. Jarrett Dingle is an athletic guard with strong scoring instincts. He scored at all levels and in fact led the Rens to a Saturday win with 22 points.

Other top performers included 6'5 Amani Hansbury (Team Durant). Hansbury has a 6'11 wingspan and a strong frame with very good mobility. Not only a factor in the post, Hansbury showed a nice stroke out to 15-18 feet and is certainly a player to put on your radar ASAP!

6'0 Kaleb Brown (Boo Williams Hite) Kaleb is a powerful and quick wing who has a nose for the ball. An excellent rebounder especially on the offensive end where he gets a lot of stickbacks exerting his strong frame and quick elevation. Kaleb is more of a slasher type who can score through contact.
6'6 wing Dennis Parker (Boo Williams Hite) can play every position on the floor as his physical attributes are complimented by his skill as both a ball handler and scorer. He has a 6'7' wingspan which, coupled with his height allows him to shoot over the top of many defenders. Dennis can also handle and get to the rim.
6'3 wing Jaiden Cole (UPLAY-SGA) has a great feel for the game and elite athleticism. In addition to being 6'3 he can flat out jump out of the gym. He's a lob target but can also slice his way to the basket and throw it down on you! Jaiden is a prolific scorer!
6'4 Terrell Pitts (NJ Playaz) can flat out fly! Terrell has a long frame and wide shoulders, strong upper body and tremendous bounce. He is dynamic in the open floor, has an explosive first step and looks to dunk everything around the rim while also showing some crafty finishing moves.
6'1 Caron Smith (Team Melo) hit eight 3-pointers and finished with 30 points in a win over UPLAY-SGA. Caron has a beautiful stroke and excellent range. He not only hit the spot up jumpers but scored on catch and shoot jumpers and was really smooth and consistent shooting off the dribble.
6'6 Kwame 'KJ' Evans (Team Melo) has tremendous upside and impressive basketball roots. He is the son of George Washington University basketball hall of famer Kwame Evans and the cousin of four star junior guard Che Evans from southern Baltimore Maryland. Evans is athletic and has good footwork around the rim.
6'4 Akil Watson (NY Lightning) A creative 6'4 playmaker, agile and rangy. He uses step back and dribble hesitations nicely, changes directions and scores from all angles! He's got big time potential!
6'5 Tarik Watson (NY Lightning) Brother of Akil is a powerful post who dominates the glass and has a nice touch finishing up shots around the rim. Also showed good footwork defensively.
6'1 Zion Walker (Dreamchasers United) brings great energy and can make plays on both ends of the floor. A strong, physical player can overpower most defenders and get to the rim while also possessing a smooth stroke and a very good jumper. Defends multiple positions.
5'11 Kanaan Carlyle (TSF-Mack) Had a 31 point game to highlight a solid weekend and showed the ability to put the ball in the basket from from anywhere on the floor. Kanaan has a strong frame and in addition to his perimeter shot making skills he has a tight handle and can get to the rim, absorb contact and score with either hand.
5'10 Chase Clemmons (TF-Mack) Really fun to watch Chase has tremendous start and stop ability and knows how to change speeds to keep defenders off balance. Attacks angles nicely, decisively and can elevate quickly into his pull up jumper. Has a quick release, excellent mechanics.
