Player: Alex Moody
Class: 2026
School: Bishop McNamara (MD)

Patrick O’Brien with Phenom Hoops was able to catch up and learn more about 2026 PG Alex Moody from Bishop McNamara HS, as he has quickly become a hot target for many big-time schools and could be one to watch out for this summer. He spoke more about his game, his focus this summer, and more about the latest in his recruitment, with a new offer on the board.

Game Description:

“A lead guard with playmaking, 3-level scoring ability, and skills who puts winning before glory.  I don’t like to lose. So, I develop laser focus and determination to become a true student of the game to put my teammates and myself in the best position to win on the court.”

Summer Focus:

“My focus will be to become a true leader on and off the court.  Work on my point guard skills, improve my reads, and become one of the top combo guards.   Score, defend, and become a true triple threat.”

Recruitment

Moody continues to attract the eyes of college programs early on and you can add yet another school to his impressive list already.  Georgetown is the latest to offer the 2026 point guard out of Washington DC. The offer certainly was a big one for Moody, as he certainly is familiar with the program and what they have to offer.

“I’m grateful for every offer and interest I’ve received and currently receiving,” Moody said. “I’m enjoying the ride.  The Georgetown offer was a great blessing.  A legendary school, with excellent coaches, and top-notch facilities.   I was born in DC at Washington Hospital Center so it would be full circle to begin my college career here in DC if I decide to commit.”

Right now, Georgetown joins Illinois, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Old Dominion, VCU, Rhode Island, Providence, and several others that have offered, while schools like Purdue, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Oregon are also showing strong interest.

And when asked about a dream school, Moody mentioned that Baylor would be on that list.
