Our 2017-18 preview magazine launched last week, and if one thing is certain, it’s that we missed on a few teams.
Providence Day (NC) senior Devon Dotson took no time to make us look silly.
Dotson led his Chargers squad to a 2-0 showing at the Phenom National Showcase, fresh off signing his National Letter of Intent to play at Kansas in 2018-19.
Dotson kicked off his senior campaign in style, dropping 23 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in a win over Northwood Temple (NC). The 6-foot-2 senior followed up his Friday performance with a 34-points, 10-rebound, six-assist showing in a win over Word of God (NC).
Dotson made it clear that Providence Day is one of the top teams in North Carolina and in the southeast.
The Chargers have two out-of-conference games before they head to the Charlotte Hoops Challenge over Thanksgiving. PDS will close out November with a home affair against No. 15 Greensboro Day.
