Phenom Hoops always wants to recognize past players that have competed in our events and will now be making their name noticed at the next level.  One of the latest commitments is 2017 guard Quay Kimble, who announced that he would be heading to Lees McRae.

Kimble seed to really like their style of play and the way they use their guards on the court, which is why it was the place for him.

“Their style of play is just like my high school play,” Kimble said.  “They rely on their guards and feed off them, so I feel like I’ll be back to Shelby High School.

Kimble was part of a Shelby team that finished the season 24-6.

Check out what Phenom Hoops has said in the past about Kimble and congrats again to the NC guard on his decision.

Phenom Hoops Notes:

5’10 ’17 Quay Kimble (Shelby)

Quay demonstrated a great attitude and gave maximum effort the entire day. He has solid handles and is so effective at changes speeds. Quay showcased good range on his jump shot and can dribble penetrates and creates shots for his teammates. We were impressed with his ability to dribble either direction and used his off hand as much as his dominant hand. In addition, he made an impact with his tenacious “on ball” defensive pressure and his ability to see the court with his full court vision. -- NC Top 80
