As a team overall, Wheeler was exciting from start to finish. Louisville’s commit Darius Perry ended the game perfect from the field recording 15 points (6-6FG), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and was named most outstanding player in the event. All throughout the game, Darius was handling the ball well and creating shots for himself and others. Jordan Tucker, whose final list of schools are Indiana and Villanova, finished with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and was named to the all-tournament team. When Tucker’s shot wasn’t going down, he used his upper body strength to drive to the basket, leading to numerous drawn fouls.
John Carroll was keeping up with Wheeler by playing at a fast pace but could not make the shots that Wheeler makes game after game. Immanuel Quickley recorded 13 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists. Quickly played calm and under control. He is the vocal leader of this team who runs the offense at all times and scores when needed. Montez Mathis scored a game-high 25 points on a healthy amount of looks and also added 5 rebounds.
