On Day 1 of the NBPA Top 100 camp it was 2 running clock halves, each team having 2 scrimmages …

6'3' 2020 Tristan Maxwell
North Meck High School (Charlotte, NC)

Maxwell is a pure scorer and he showed that here, able to get his shots off against anyone. What he showed today was some ability to initiate the offense, he looked good bringing the ball up the floor, working under pressure. Overall a good day 1, he made sure people knew his name.

6'9' 2020 PJ Hall
Dorman High School (Moore, SC)

In this setting Hall found his success doing the dirty work. He finished around the basket and chased rebounds, diving on the floor. Hall belonged in this camp and he is starting to show how he will carve his niche at the next level.

6'7' 2021 Dontrez Styles
Kinston High School (Kinston, NC)

Styles game has really expanded and he is playing with all the confidence in the world. He shot the 3 ball well off the catch and he played with a great motor, rebounding and running the floor well. Still a 2021, he played tough and found success.

7' 2020 Mark Williams
Norfolk Academy (Virginia Beach, VA)

Williams has a great frame, you see that off the rip. He runs the floor well and he did a good job affecting shots around the basket. Still, on the slender side, he has good hands and a good touch. A lot to like looking forward.

7' 2021 Efton Reed
The Steward School (Mechanicsville, VA)

This was our first time viewing Reed and he did some things to really open your eyes out there. Reed has great size and a sturdy frame for a 2021, he knocked down a couple of 3s and finished in traffic. We walked away understanding the Top 50 ranking and possibly thinking it could be a little low at this time. Eager to keep watching.

6'5' 2020 Joe Bamisile (Northwestern)
Monacan High School (Monacan, VA)

Bamisile is a high-level athlete. Strong and compact, he showed off the verticality today with multiple dunks in transition. He looked like he could be a bully on defense and was able to push the break.

6'10' 2020 Dylan Cardwell
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA)

Cardwell showed up today with a remade frame, great length and very trim. He played with a great motor, showing good hands around the basket and finishing through contact. He has come a long way over the last year, and as he continues to play with this type of energy there is still some ceiling there to go.

6'1' 2021 Cam Hayes
Greensboro Day (Greensboro, NC)

Hayes had the ball in his hand from the start and he showed he could handle the pressure. Hayes did a great job showing the ability to create for himself and his teammates. He shot the ball very well and he played at an excellent pace. One of the standouts of day 1, he showcased his lofty rankings.

6'9' 2020 Dayron Sharpe (UNC)
South Central High School (Greenville, NC)

Sharpe is one of the best rebounders in the country. As Charles Barkley did, he just goes and gets the damn ball. He has unreal hands and runs the floor like a deer. Sharpe is in the conversation as the top big in the camp on Day 1.

6'7' 2020 Henry Coleman
Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA)

Coleman is a physical specimen. He plays with great strength and such a high motor. When he is 15 feet and in he can put it on the floor or finish with his back to the basket. Very strong, a good rebounder, Coleman thrives with the stuff others don't enjoy.

6'5' 2022 MJ Rice
Durham Academy (Durham, NC)

Rice is a physical specimen as one of the youngest kids in the camp, he has great length and is very strong and explosive. Rice did most of his work in transition, he defended both forward positions and he created some good deflections. Given his age, he was not swallowed up by the atmosphere and has a ridiculously bright future ahead.

6'8' 2020 Corey Walker
Hargrave Academy (Chatham, VA)

Walker is a long and rangy athlete. He gets up the floor quickly and he finishes high above the rim in transition. When his motor is running hot he is a high energy guy who can defend multiple positions, rebound and finish high above the rim. Electric player.

6'1' 2020 Shakeel Moore
Piedmont Classical High School (Greensboro, NC)

Moore is a strong and highly explosive lead guard. He attacked the rim, touching the paint at will. Getting downhill, he absorbed contact and even thrived when in there. He initiated the offense, showed off quick hands and feet when defending the ball and he shot the ball. Phew, he's good.

6'4' 2020 Cameron Thomas
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA)

Thomas came in with the reputation as an elite scorer, we have said it for over a year now he is among the top scorers in the country. Today he showed he is a true shooting guard, with some initiation skills, along the lines of a Lou Williams. As he continues to shore up his footwork, IQ and shot selection he will become even more dangerous. Thomas is an elite scorer.
