Picking up where we left off earlier, here are the top performers that caught my eye during the conclusion of Summer Havoc Day 3:

2021 6'2 PG Umar Lawson- 3 Ball Elite 15U

Lawson was one of my favorites from today's action. Athletically, he was levels ahead of his competition in both of his games. The 6'2 PG finished off two fast breaks with one handed jams in his first contest of the day against Team Xplosion 2022. He was getting to the rim whenever he wanted, finishing at the rim consistently, and racking up add ones. Some tips for Umar is working on his middle game as he had multiple charges, playing with pace, and continuing to develop an outside shot. Also given his talent level he has to make an effort to get his teammates involve as he can have his head down often times. Overall, I see a D1 program being in his future. Lawson is very dynamic!

2021 6'3 Wing Kevin Taylor- North Metro Elite 15U

Taylor filled up the stat sheet in their close loss to (U15) Attack365. The young wing player possesses a silky smooth jump shot and plays the game at his own pace. At no point in the game was he sped up and he still managed to get to his spots on the floor. He has a decent handle on the ball but an advantage off his is he's hard to measure on the court, Tyler stands at 6'3 but has a super long wingspan.

2021 6'6 Forward Oliver Farris- Team Loaded Griggs 15U

Oliver was very active today at the 4 position. Team Loaded went big and played him alongside 6'6 Joseph Ferrante. He is long, wiry, and can mix it up a little bit. He crashed the glass and rebounded well. Oliver showed the ability to comfortably put the ball on the floor for a couple dribbles and make decisions. He also finished well around the basket, as a whole unit Team Loaded Griggs is a good team to watch at #PhenomSummerHavocLive

2021 6'2 Wing James Lumsden- Charlotte Royals 15U

Versatility. He is extremely versatile for the Charlotte royals. He rebounded, defended, and scored for his squad today. Undersized but he defends the opposing teams big man. On the offensive end he brings them out the paint and drives by them. The royals play an uptempo guard oriented pace and Lumsden’s toughness allows his coach that luxury.

2022 6'1 Guard Andrew Jones- Team Xplosion Virginia

This incoming freshman really put on a show today! He was just as impressive as 3 Ball's Elite Umar Lawson. It was a great match up between the two lead guards. Andrew finished the game with 23 points while Umar finished just behind him at 22 points. The young guard has a body that's mature with broad shoulders. He got to the lane easily and finish strong with his left hand every time. He was cerebral, crafty, and just displayed a high IQ on the offensive end. I encourage everyone attending Summer Havoc to check out Andrew. He is young and up next!
