Not only is the David Rose Memorial Day Classic benefiting a great cause (Wounded Warrior Project), but we were able to assemble a great cast of teams. The players, and teams, in all three age groups are skilled and tracking to be highly recruited players.

In this edition we will go over the 17U age group. We will take a look at players, teams, matchups, and storylines that we are looking forward to seeing.
Maliek White Vs Justice Kithcart Vs Davion Mintz

Point guards are at a premium and, although they are different, these are three of the best ones in the Southeast's 2016 class.

Justice Kithcart'is a dog, he plays on ball defense with a purpose and gets into the lane with a bullish manner. Not only does the sturdy lead guard play with a huge chip on his shoulder that chip bleeds down throughout his team mates. Kitchart carries around 10 offers, from the likes of Clemson, ECU, and Duquense.

Davion Mintz'is a bigger guard, at 6'3, but there is no denying his ability. Mintz has long arms and is relentless into the lane. He is flying a little under the radar but carries 11 offers from the likes of Marshall, Wilmington Charleston.

Maliek White'is one of the hottest names in the Southeast. After winning Conference and State player of the year in Virginia this past year, White carried over that confidence to AAU. The just-get-it-done lead guard carries 19 offers, from the likes of ECU, Cincinnati, and Middle Tennessee.
Jordan Bruner Vs Mamadi Diakite

Both players ooze with upside and both guys have something to prove in the production category. 6'9'Mamadi Diakite'slearning curve has been steep. Last year was his first in the US, and the incredibly explosive Diakite came over with a soccer background. Now he has a final grouping of Washington, Southern Cal, Georgetown, and Virginia.

Jordan Bruner'is fresh off a meniscus tear and playing better than ever. He has grown an inch and is now up to a long 6'9'. So far on the Adidas Gauntlet, Bruner has carved his niche as a face up four man as he is shooting 42% from beyond the arc. Bruner carries offers from' Clemson, Richmond, and Yale.
Andrew Corum Vs Xavier Green Vs Jaylen McManus

This is the interesting group positionless power wings that do nothing but produce.

6'6''Andrew Corum'won a state championship with Middleburg Academy. He is a tenacious defender and carries a great face up game on offense. Corum picked up his first off from Longwood at the end of this high school year.

6'6''Xavier Green'carries a great court sense. His high IQ and ability to pass are two of his biggest attributes. However, he is now starting to make shots with range. No more trying to project him as a point wing, but as a wing who can make shots and pass, Green has seen his recruitment pick up. He carries 8 offers from the likes of, Providence, Cincinnati, and Old Dominion.

6'6''Jaylen McManus'is kind of an enigma, not many people have seen him but those that have speak highly of him. McManus is a dynamic defensive presence and productive offensively. He has a long frame and a great motor. McManus has 7 offers from the likes of Marshall and Wilmington.

These teams are not sponsored, but each of them have talent and are scrappy. NC Juice All Stars are play with a 'me against the world' mentality and are led by 6' NC Top 80 alum'Robert Colon'and athletic 6'6' wing'Jordan Brown.

Jordan Cross Vs Richard Washington

Shooters with size, both of these guys have long 6'5'/6'6' frames and can put the ball in the hole with range. It will be interesting to see how they each perform. Jordan Cross is a right handed 2017 with a 6'11' wing span. Richard Washington is a lefty 2016 with offers from East Carolina, Cincinnati, and Wake Forest. The intrigue is there.
