Today's 5 to Know
#PhenomDavidRose ' Day 2
By Jamie Shaw

On this holiday weekend, we have a lot of talent in the gym. Making this event a tournament format gives each of these teams (and players) something to play for. The talent showed out as there has been some great performances to this point'In fact we had so many teams register for the event we had to break it up into a Session 1 and a Session 2'One thing is for sure, players got seen.

Here are the players who showed out on Day 2.

6'2' Dewon Lesene
Carolina Magic (NC)

There was something about his toughness, his athleticism and his all-out play that created opportunities for his team. He is a rugged defender with strength and athleticism. He is a downhill wing able to score off the bounce or post up a weaker opponent. Regardless, Lesene padded the stat book in an unorthodox manner that produced wins. It will be interesting to see the schools who move on him in July.

5'11 2020 Jalen Cone
Team Loaded NC 15s (NC)

Cone is a well-known name, he is ranked nationally by many services, and rightfully so. Every time he steps onto the court he has a target on his back, and his competitive nature shines through each time. Cone led his Team Loaded NC 15s team to the championship game, in which Cone poured in 38 points. He is explosive off the bounce and great in the mid-range, one of those players you can never count out no matter the score.

5'9' 2021 Jalen Hinton
Team Charlotte 15s (NC)

Anyone following twitter had to have seen that Hinton had an event high 50 points in the Championship game. 8 made 3s and 13 made 2s, it was a performance for the ages. Especially when you note that Hinton is playing up in age. Regardless, He is a bucket getter. In his teams other games he put in over 20 in each, either being the teams 1st'or 2nd'leading scorer each time out. It was a great showing for the young man, especially considering he has yet to step foot in high school.

6'2' 2018 Jonathan Breeland
SC Tigers (SC)

Breeland played a large role in his Blythewood High School team making it to the SCHSL 5A Lower State finals. The point guard plays with an incredible pace, never getting rushed with the ball. He has good size and makes great decision in the half court. Breeland is a college level player and we are excited to see who jumps in during the July period.

6'7' 2018 Landers Nolley
Team Loaded NC (NC)

We hate duplicating names when doing these, but the performance Holley put on was worthy of a double up. Nolley is as pure a shooter as there is, he is reminiscent of Devin Booker around the same stage in his ability to spot up but also create for himself off the bounce. Nolley has a great frame and is ranked nationally anywhere from about 75-90. We feel that 75-90 is about 50-60 spots too low for the young man. He is a high level shooting guard.
