Some takeaways from Day 2 at the Phenom Stay Positive Session II

Durham Hurricanes 16U
Joshua Hall (6’6 Wing 2019 Oak Hill Academy) what is there not to like about a 6’6 wing that can shoot it well from deep, handle and push the ball down court' Although he struggles with physicality at time, his body is still underdeveloped and what we would consider a “late bloomer”. But when he matures and gets stronger, Hall has a chance to be really special.

EA Prep Douglas 17U
Blake Zieske (6’2 SG 2018 South Point HS) Blake shoots the ball extremely well, has good elevation and a quick release on his jump shot. Zieske is smooth with the ball in his hands, has good vision and a little flash to his game. Blake is a player, D2’s should take a serious look at.

Franklin County Bulls 17U
Jarrail Brodie (6’2 CG 2017 Franklinton HS) being a 2017, Brodie would probably have to go the JUCO route, but it’s a way nonetheless. Jarrail shot lights out, knows the game and has a high basketball IQ.

Team CP3 15U
Keyna Mims (6’5 wing 2020 York Prep) Mims has drastically improved over the years. Keyna is now a legit D1 prospect now. He does a excellent job at rebounding and pushing the ball; making plays and seeing the court. With continued work on his jumper and the need to improve his motor, will determine the level of D1 schools that will recruit him.

Cameron Stitt (6’7 forward 2020 Porter Ridge HS) Stitt has a chance to be special; with his long frame and the ability to knock down 3’s, Cameron is the definition of the new age 3/4 combo wing-forward. With improved ball skills, Stitt can take his game to the level where high majors are fighting over him.

Tristan Maxwell (6’1 SG 2020 North Meck HS) extreme shot maker; once he starts making them he can put points on the board in a hurry. Already holding several D1 offers, it’s easy to see why. Shooters are at a premium and Maxwell fits that roll.

Boo Williams Dip 15U
Marcus Banks Jr (6’1 CG 2020 Lafayette HS) Banks is a natural point guard that also plays off the ball at a high level too. Marcus is at his best with the ball in his hands, making plays and creating shots off the dribble. To take his game to the next level, Banks will need to show more effort on the defensive end and prove that he can guard at the same level that his offensive game is at.

Boo Williams Pope 15U
Kaleb Peterson (6’1 SG 2020 Tallwood HS) strong guard that can score the ball at all 3 levels. He also does a great job getting to the free throw line where he shoots a high percentage. Peterson was one of the better defenders we saw this weekend.

Azaiyah Roberts (6’4 Power Forward 2020 Princess Anne HS) Roberts was a beast down low all weekend. He rebounds at a very high level and is the type of player that seeks contact. Very physically dominating player. We are not sure how Azaiyah will translate to the next level as he looks fully mature but with a little more growth, he could potentially be a problem for the years to come.

Team Loaded 704
Myles Tate (5’11 PG 2020 Dorman HS) Myles is a blur out on the court, he displays elite level speed that only a few kids hold. Tate shows the ability to score at all 3 levels, he also has exceptional range; one of the better on ball defenders we saw this week.
