Carmel Christian MLK Showcase “The Glue Guys”

6’2 2019 Myles Pierre (Carmel Christian)

Myles Pierre (Houston Baptist signee) is the heart and soul, the absolute glue guy for Carmel Christian. Although Carmel Christian loss to NCHSAA 4A power Independence, Pierre once again provided outstanding leadership on the court, not to mention coming down with leg cramps down the stretch which didn’t help the cause. That being said, it doesn’t take away what he brings to the table. First of all, you will constantly get maximum effort and energy on both ends of the court. With Myles Pierre, there are no plays off. He is giving it all every single possession.

6’2 2019 AJ McKee (independence High School)

Like most players that play for Preston Davis, AJ McKee (Queens University) is a “team first” player. You see, McKee values winning and team success over individual success. He’s such an unselfish player that has bought into the idea that he won’t be outworked or outhustled in a game situation. He just brings a tough “lunch pail” mentality that he is going to bring defensive intensity and an absolute “dawg” approach to the game. Although McKee averages 10.4 PPG, scoring isn’t his main concern, which is extremely rare for young players today.

6’3 2019 Levontae Knox (Lincoln Charter)

Levontae Knox has enjoyed a terrific senior season thus far. He’s at his best using his athleticism and epxlosivenes in the open court, but more importantly we have been super impressed with his body demeanor, court leadership, and sheer passion displayed in the numerous games we have watched. Knox has demonstrated a “never quit” attitude time and time again. Knox finished with a game high 22 points, but that’s just a small glimpse of his importance to the team and we expect Lincoln Charter to make a serious run at the NCHSAA 1A title this season. More importantly, Knox is a tremendous competitor and a great teammate.

5’10 Adam Brazile (Davidson Day)

When you think of Davidson Day, the three names you will hear the most is 6’5 Jackson Threadgill, 6’8 CJ Huntley, and 6’4 Bryce Alfino and rightfully so. In the win over a very talented Lincoln Charter team, Brazile was instrumental in the team win. He scored 10 points, but went 8-8 from the free throw line including 6-6 in the final minutes of the game. We were really impressed with his playmaking ability, poise and ability to control the tempo especially against the trapping defense down the stretch. He may not get headlines, but his maturity, ball handling, basketball IQ and leadership skills are definitely the glue that hold the team together.
