Already entering his high school senior season, Malik Johnson has already had a storied high school career. He is entering his fourth year as a varsity starting point guard and he has already played in two state champions, winning one of them.

Even Johnson was injured through his junior year he has proven, to this point in his high school career, that he is a winner. Well Johnson has now moved over to 2-time reigning state champion Village Christian.

As with most of the elite players in the state Johnson is an alum of the prestigious North Carolina Top 80 exposure camp. After his performance in the last NC Top 80 we wrote,''Johnson is coming off a state championship run with his high school where he played a vital role at point guard. He had the ball in his hands during crunch time. Johnson showed why, in this camp, his coach had so much trust in him during such vital times. His athleticism and hustle allowed him to affect the game in multiple ways.'

Johnson has always had the tools, leading with an incredibly mental toughness. Not only does he want to the ball in his hands on offense, he also wants to guard the opposing teams top perimeter player. He has always been supremely athletic, jet-quick off the bounce and had a tight handle on the ball.

Well now the game has slowed down for him and he has taken it to a new level. He navigates traffic great in the paint. At UNC Pembroke Team Camp he showed the ability to knock down the jump shot with range and consistency. He still has that supreme athleticism, jet-quick first step and big time mental toughness. Now, Malik Johnson is one to watch.

Currently Malik Johnson carries Rhode Island and Western Carolina offers. More high majors should be jumping in as soon as he is seen in July with Team Wall, he is a pit bull of a point guard.
