At the NPBA Top 100, it’s a tough grind. You have a 12 man roster featuring the top players in the country. Sometimes it’s hard to get into the flow and we all know shooters definitely need that. That being said, great shooters have a short memory and so does 6’5 Louisville commit Josh Nickelberry of Northwood Temple. In the opening game, Nickelberry didn’t get many touches or opportunities and only managed to go 1-3 from the floor with a made 3-point shot. However, in the nightcap on opening night, Josh Nickelberry did what he does best and that is shoot the rock. He finished with 17 points going 5-10 from the floor (3-8 from the 3-point line) and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
Nickelberry is a confident player and shooter. He has excellent mechanics and range on his 3-point shot. More importantly, we were also impressed with his overall poise and maturity on the court as a player. His games speaks for itself and his game is going to easily translate at the collegiate level and we expect great things going into his senior year and beyond, he is just getting warmed up!
